Welcome to Things Are Terrible. TAT is a collection of rammblings from the minds of Cat Daddy, Jessi J and Smidge. Basically its a space to voice opinions on any subject matter we choose.
7 times the size of Manhattan! 4 times the size of Paris! As big as Northern Ireland! Apparently, a giant runaway slab of ice is currently collapsing in Antartica. With taglines like "hanging by a thread," the media is having a field day with this one, naturally. One article written by Brandon Keim discusses the well known fact that this ice shelf was already floating in the ocean and will not affect the sea level. Thanks Brandon. It's no surprise that he's written for the Christian Science Monitor. I can't even believe that Christian and Science can be in the same title. Anyway, educate yourselves.
On a related note, I told the guy at the liquor store that I'm planning on winning the lottery. Jessi said if she wins, she'll buy a house on the beach and invest the rest of the money in stocks. He advised us to buy an umbrella because it can move. Touche, liquor store man, touche.
