Portland Elects Sam Adams

As if I'm not already crazy enough about Portland Oregon some new happenings in the city have brought that west coast lust to a new level. Yesterday Sam Adams, formerly Portland's Commissioner of Public Utilities, was elected major of Portland. Why am I so happy about this news? Well Sam Adams is the first openly gay member of Portland's city council. Besides the fact that hes part of the family, Sam Adams worked with the BES during his time as commisioner and he also served as portlands liason to the arts, culture and small buisnesses. I think this is a match made in heaven and I'm so glad that when I move out to the west coast in May 09 I'll be moving to the largest city with a (well informed, progressive, art loving, enviornmentalist) gay mayor.
